NEA ESP Professional Growth Continuum
To help education support professionals (ESP) grow professionally, NEA developed the first-ever professional growth continuum (PGC) for ESP. The Education Support Professionals: Professional Growth Continuum outlines eight universal standards within three levels of practice, providing clear pathways for professional learning and growth throughout an ESP’s career. Visit www.nea.org/esppgc to learn more and download a copy!
ESP Mentoring Manual
The ESP: Supporting Our Own Through Mentoring manual is designed to assist state and local Associations and/or school districts/universities to plan and implement mentoring programs for ESP. It addresses why mentoring is important for ESP; the benefits of mentoring for mentors, mentees, and schools/universities; things to consider when setting up a mentoring program; and sample tools and forms. Three sample mentoring programs from around the country are highlighted, and sample mentoring contract language and a memoranda of understanding are also included. If you are an NEA member and would like to request copies, email [email protected].
Who. We. Are. Brochure
This folder brochure promotes an understanding of the nine ESP career families and provides data and statistics about NEA ESP members working in K-12 and higher education. If you are an NEA member and would like to request copies, email [email protected].
RESPECT Posters
These posters include photo images of NEA ESP members at work, displaying the character, strength and passion that come with being an ESP. We respect ESP for ensuring that students are always ready to learn. The posters come in packets of nine. The front of each poster represents a member from one of the 9 ESP career families while the back showcases a photo collage of all nine career families. If you are an NEA member and would like to request copies, email [email protected].
